About the Role
We are currently seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) with Wound Care Certification to join our team in Los Angeles County. This role is critical for providing advanced wound management and patient care to individuals dealing with complex wound issues.
Key Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive assessments and develop treatment plans for patients with acute and chronic wounds.
Manage and provide direct care for wound treatment, including debridement, dressing changes, and monitoring of wound healing progress.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care.
Educate patients and caregivers on wound care practices and prevention strategies.
Document all patient interactions and progress in accordance with medical standards and regulatory requirements.
Stay updated with best practices in wound care and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
Essential Qualifications
Current NP or PA license in the state of California.
Wound Care Certification.
Strong clinical skills in wound management and patient assessment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Desired Experience
Minimum of 2 years experience in a clinical setting, specifically within wound care.
Experience in home health care or hospice settings preferred.
Demonstrated knowledge of advanced wound care techniques and technologies.
