Job Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive assessments of wounds to determine appropriate treatment plans.
Administer prescribed wound care therapies and treatments in compliance with clinical guidelines.
Educate patients and their families about wound care management and prevention strategies.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes and enhance care delivery.
Keep accurate and timely medical records and documentation related to wound care interventions.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance wound care practices.
Stay updated on the latest wound care techniques and advancements in the field.
Provide mentorship and guidance to junior nursing staff and interns as needed.
Essential Qualifications:
Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of California.
Wound Care Certification is required.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Strong critical thinking and assessment skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for patient and team interactions.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Desired Experience:
A minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, specifically in wound care management.
Experience in a clinical or hospital setting focused on wound care or related specialty.
Proven history of implementing evidence-based practices in wound management.
Previous roles in home health care or hospice care are an advantage.
