Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated RN Wound Care - Wound Certified to join our network in San Diego County. This position is ideal for an experienced, compassionate nurse who is passionate about advanced wound management and offers a unique opportunity to enhance your career in a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Evaluate and assess patients’ wounds to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Provide advanced wound care treatments, including dressing changes, debridement, and infection control.
Educate patients and their families on wound care management, prevention strategies, and post-treatment follow-ups.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, including assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
Stay updated with the latest advancements in wound care and implement evidence-based practices.
Participate in quality assurance initiatives to improve wound care outcomes.
Essential Qualifications:
Current and valid RN license in the state of California.
Certification in wound care (e.g., CWCN, CWS) required.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a healthcare team.
Desired Experience:
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in wound care or a similar clinical setting.
Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems preferred.
Demonstrated understanding of wound healing principles and best practices.
Experience in patient education and engagement.
